Many South Asian women face barriers in accessing appropriate maternal healthcare due to language barriers, cultural differences, and a lack of tailored information. The Janam app addresses these issues by offering a platform that speaks directly to the cultural and linguistic needs of South Asian women, ensuring they receive relevant, comprehensive, and respectful information throughout their pregnancy and postnatal journey.

Research carried out between February and December 2023, with South Asian women. Structured interviews with participants purposefully sampled from different ethnic groups, comprising respective language cohorts.
