The Creative ESOL project was part of Derby City Councils ESOL For Integration Fund, supported by the Ministry for Housing Communities and Local Government, and aimed to engage with communities where English is a second language through creative activities.

The project was funded to help local authorities meet the English language needs of their communities, meeting learning and communication requirements through creative learning and cultural exchange.

The free sessions offered creative ways for those wishing to increase language skills in a fun and informal environment.

A series of short films produced under quarantine, by English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

The films were made independently, during the learner's free time after being assigned homework tasks across three weekly creative English sessions, held online between November 2020 - March 2021.
