I’ve been commissioned by The Leicester New Walk Museum to deliver a series of participatory workshops to a group of Muslim women at St Barnabas Library, Evington.

In 1972 tens of thousands of Asians were told to leave Uganda within 90 days, by President, General Idi Amin. This group installation will be curated to commemorate 40 years, since this expulsion. More than 10,000 made Leicester their new home. I will deliver a series of workshops to a group of women from the Ugandan Muslim community at St Barnabas Library, Evington. The group will be guided to create three embroidered textiles panels, combining memories and experiences of living in different countries.
