In 1972 leader Idi Amin expelled the entire Asian population of the country, giving them 90 days to leave the country.

My first collaboration with Sunil Shah; Artist, Writer, Curator. After connecting with Sunil on Twitter last year, I was delighted when he contacted me with a view to showing some of my work at this historic site. He wanted to show a selection from my series ‘The Golden Mile’, taken in Leicestershire between 2006 – 2012.

Greenham Common or RAF Greenham Common is a former Royal Air Force station in Berkshire, England. Many of the expelled Ugandan Asians were housed at RAF Greenham Common. Flight to Greenham commemorated 40 years since Ugandan Asians were expelled from Uganda and many came to live in Newbury, Berkshire and portrayed the impact this new community had.
